
Last lesson we captured the footage from the tapes onto the computer and today we started creating an individual rough edit each. After importing the files from the college's shared resources, I learned how to cut the footage into separate clips, and arranged them in order to create a rough edit. I then found out how to control the speed of the footage and add other effects.
How to cut footage into smaller clips
Double click the file to open it in the viewer. Find the in point and mark it with "i". Find the out point and mark it with "o". Then drag the clip into the timeline

How to control the speed
Go to Modify -> Speed and Set the percentage speed
